Credit: Chester Zoo / AMAZING ANIMALS+ / TMX<br /><br />A critically endangered Western chimpanzee has been born at the Chester Zoo in the U.K., and “instantly bonded” with his mother ZeeZee, who is cradling him closely, zookeepers say.<br /><br />A video shared by the zoo, located at Upton-by-Chester, Cheshire, England, shows the male baby being cradled, carried and cared for by his mother and his sister, Stevie.<br /><br />The baby has spent his first few weeks bonding with his mother and the rest of the 22-strong troop, according to the zoo.<br /><br />“A birth always creates a lot of excitement in the group and raising a youngster soon becomes a real extended family affair,” Andrew Lenihan, team manager of the primates section, said in a statement.
