X to Compete With LinkedIn , by Launching New Job Listings Feature.<br />X to Compete With LinkedIn , by Launching New Job Listings Feature.<br />X, formerly known as Twitter, will <br />soon offer job listings and more.<br />CEO Elon Musk took to the platform <br />on Aug. 27 with the announcement. .<br />X has started to compile jobs and education data about users for "safety, security and identification purposes," 'Bloomberg' reports. .<br />Biometric information is also being collected.<br />Engadget reports that this data is likely being collected to aid in creating X's job listings feature, among other things. .<br />Currently, some verified organizations, <br />such as Workweek, can post job listings <br />as scrolling cards in their bios. .<br />According to Workweek CEO Adam Ryan, the feature was included in the "verified for organizations" package that costs $1,000 a month. .<br />Musk teased the new feature in May as X acquired Laski, a tech startup that works in job matching.<br />It was X's "first acquisition under Musk," Engadget reports.
