Chris Eubanks left the court during a crucial point on Wednesday as the American appeared to battle stomach issues in the US Open second round.

Down a set to Benjamin Bonzi in the fourth set with the score tied 5-5, Eubanks could be heard asking the umpire if he could forfeit the game to rush to the bathroom.

Eubanks was also said to have requested nausea medication from the umpire earlier in the match.

'If I take a penalty for every point this game, plus a bathroom break, how much time is that? Like sacrifice this next game to go to the bathroom,' he asked with the fourth set tied 5-5.

'Now?' the umpire replied.

'Yeah I mean, yeah. If I did, how much time is that?'

'You wouldn't have long,' the umpire said.

'I wouldn't? Even if I gave the game plus a bathroom break?'

'You have the whole changeover at 6-5.'

From there, Eubanks returned to the court for an extremely quick game, as he took two aces and ran off the court as Bonzi hit a winner at 40-0.

After running to the bathroom and reappearing for the next game, Eubanks held serve to tie things up, but ultimately lost 9-7 in a tiebreak to cede the match, 6-7, 6-2, 2-6, 6-7.
