Meet the identical twin sisters who have worn matching outfits every day for 23 years.<br /><br />Rosey Coles and Kathy Heffernan, both 69, love to dress the same when they go out together – and even have the same pair of glasses and pyjamas.<br /><br />The sisters live next door to each other and spend every day together – taking bus rides, going on walks and shopping.<br /><br />They share the same style and love donning identical dresses and outfits when they go out for the day.<br /><br />For 11 years the pair worked together at their cleaning business but have since retired.<br /><br />Kathy, a mum-of-one, from Aldershot, Hampshire, said: “It’s like being married to someone for 70 years.<br /><br />“People see us and ask to take a photograph.<br /><br />“They say they don’t often see twins our age together.<br /><br />“We both have the same glasses. We wear our hair the same way.<br /><br />“We have the same pyjamas, but we don’t always wear those at the same time.”<br /><br />Rosey, a mum-of-two, added: “When we go out, we wear the same things.<br /><br />“For the last 23 years we’ve been together most days.”<br /><br />Growing up, the sisters wore a lot of similar clothes from the age of 13 but stopped matching when they both got married and moved apart.<br /><br />Rosey married in 1974 and Kathy followed suit three years later.<br /><br />The twins both separated from their husbands in 2000 and moved to live closer together and began dressing the same again.<br /><br />They moved in next door to each other in 2012 and now share identical looking flats.<br /><br />Kathy said: “We have exactly the same homes with the same layout and the same grey colour scheme at the moment.”<br /><br />Kathy and Rosey spent most days together – shopping, visiting villages and even going to doctors' appointments together.<br /><br />Kathy said: “We go on bus rides.<br /><br />"We go to a village to a café for a little trip out.<br /><br />“Sometimes we go out for a drive.”<br /><br />The fashion loving twins can’t help but purchase new outfits – despite already boasting a wardrobe of over 50 clothes.<br /><br />Their favourite outfits are their 50s style dresses - fit with petticoat skirts.<br /><br />Kathy said: “We have so many clothes.<br /><br />“We always go to the shop and see something we like.<br /><br />“We spent three hours in John Lewis the other day. I spent £600 on three dresses.<br /><br />“We don’t argue.<br /><br />“We wear lots of long dresses and jeans. We have the same coats.<br /><br />“The wardrobe is packed tight.”<br /><br />Rosey and Kathy love the compliments they receive on their matching outfits – and said most people struggle to tell them apart.<br /><br />Kathy said: “We’re always told how lovely we look.<br /><br />“People don’t know who is who."<br /><br />Rosey added: "We are very similar, it's creepy."<br /><br />The sisters also love to go away together – recently going on a cruise to France and Spain together in May 2023 – and make sure to pack the same clothes into their suitcase.<br /><br />They plan to keep wearing matching outfits for the rest of their lives - but do sometime wear different tops and jeans to each other if they are not going out.<br /><br />Kathy said: “We don’t like to wear something twice for an evening outfit.<br /><br />“We can’t help but buy something new.”
