More than 100 firefighters were today battling a huge blaze which broke out at a waste centre.<br /><br />Dramatic footage shows a huge pall of smoke rising above the fire at the Herne Hill waste transfer station in south London.<br /><br />Local resident Joao Salerno, 60, captured the footage from his balcony overlooking the scene.
