Europe's Emily Pedersen made history at the Solheim Cup, by hitting a hole-in-one for only the second time in the tournament's history. <br /><br />The Danish golfer's history-making moment came on the 12th hole, as Pedersen hit a tee shot that landed on the edge of the green, before spinning sideways and dribbling down into the hole. <br /><br />It sparked wild celebrations from the 27-year-old and her European team, led by captain Suzann Pettersen, who had included Pedersen as one of her wild picks for the team. <br /><br />Pedersen was playing with Swede Maja Stark against Team USA's Jennifer Kupcho and Allisen Corpuz, and her ace drew the European's level in their match-up after a disappointing start for the team in Finca Cortesin. <br /><br />Petterson's team trailed 4-0 in the foursomes, with Pedersen and Charley Hull going down 5 &4 to Cheyenne Knight and Ally Ewing to give USA a commanding lead. <br /><br />However, the hole-in-one seemed to spur Europe on as they fought back to trail the USA 5-3 at the end of the first day. <br /><br />The hole-in-one was the second time the feat had been achieved at the Solheim Cup, with the previous ace also being hit by a European. <br /><br />Swedish golfer Anna Nordqvist recorded the historic moment during the 2013 Solheim Cup at the Colorado Golf Club. <br /><br />Nordqvist's 187-yard 7-iron helped her and partner Caroline Hedwall beat Paula Creamer and Morgan Pressel 2 and 1 in the Saturday foursomes as Europe defeated USA 18-10 at the tournament a decade ago. .....
