Watch out, South Carolina! She has cultivated speculation of being his vice president pick.

“President Trump doing a little shopping in South Carolina! He will protect our great Second Amendment!!” Greene wrote.

Other conservatives mocked the photo op.

“Kind of upset we didn’t get to see Trump test his shoot a supporter on 5th Ave. theory,” cracked Spectator contributing editor Stephen L. Miller.

“When everything about your campaign is just for show …” noted pseudonymous commentator A.G. Hamilton.

In the past, Trump has suggested that he carries a firearm, emphasizing that he likes to be “unpredictable.”

Trump later held a rally in the Charleston suburb of Summerville, where he warned about the stakes of the election and tried to quiet down jeers directed at Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

“I’ll tell you what, when I need help with the left, he’s great,” the 45th president said of Graham. “He’s great, and he’s my friend, too … He helps me on the left, we need help sometimes. Republicans shouldn’t need help with the left, but he helps me.

Trump is staring down a 34-count indictment from Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg over allegedly concealing business records to hide hush money payments, a 40-count indictment related to alleged hoarding of classified documents, a four-count federal indictment for his attempt to remain in power after the 2020 election, and a 13-count Georgia indictment for similar alleged offenses.

The former president has strenuously denied wrongdoing across the board and decried the legal onslaught against him as election interference.

A Trump campaign spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Trump will skip Wednesday night’s second Republican primary debate in Simi Valley, Calif. to hold a rally with striking auto workers in Michigan, one day after President Biden is expected to join protesters on the picket line.

#donaldtrump
#southcarolina
#TRUMPINDICTMENT
#2024presidentialelection
