A police officer rushed to rescue several residents after he spotted a house on fire. <br /><br />Bodycam footage shows the moment the officer who was responding to another call ran towards the blaze and evacuated four people.<br /><br />The blaze, in the Hilltop area in Columbus, Ohio, started after the porch of the building caught fire on the 60 block of South Richardson Avenue around 4:15 a.m. <br /><br />One woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition and treated for burns and smoke inhalation - but police confirmed her condition has since improved.<br /><br />The Columbus Police Division said on Facebook: "While responding to another call in the Hilltop overnight, Columbus Police officers noticed a house on fire. <br /><br />"Without hesitation, they rushed to help rescue multiple people inside the burning residence. <br /><br />"Their bravery and quick thinking saved lives today, reminding us all of the selflessness and dedication our officers show day in and day out."
