Meet the mum and daughter who look identical, wear matching outfits every day and constantly get mistaken for sisters.<br /><br />Catherine Galasso-Vigorito, 56, and her daughter, Gabriella, 23, have been matching clothes since she was a baby.<br /><br />Catherine would buy the same outfit for her three daughters and herself as it was often easier, and she found it “fun”.<br /><br />While her daughters - Lauren, 24 and Sophia, 18 - didn’t enjoy looking the same as their mum, Gabriella loved it and now the inseparable pair continue to match and are the exact same size.<br /><br />They both love a “glamorous” look - always stepping out in matching dresses and heels - and recently both walked in New York Fashion Week.<br /><br />Gabriella, a cosmetologist, model and content creator, from Clinton, Connecticut, US, said: “We’re always matching.<br /><br />“It’s different and causes a stir where we go.<br /><br />“We’re both upbeat and bubbly.<br /><br />“We both do everything together. We get our nails done together. We go shopping, we travel together, and we create a vision board together.”<br /><br />Catherine, an author, said: “People mistake us for sisters.<br /><br />“We look the exact same. We are the exact same size.<br /><br />“We’re bonded by our clothes as well as our hearts.”<br /><br />Catherine would buy the same outfits for all of her daughters and often herself when they were younger.<br /><br />She said: “In many ways it was easier to get two or three matching dresses in different sizes.<br /><br />“If we went to the park – I could go ‘there they are’.<br /><br />“It gives us a very close bond.”<br /><br />Gabriella and Catherine are both a US size zero, wear US 7.5 shoes and are 5ft 5ins and 5ft 6ins.<br /><br />Catherine said: “We have the same measurements.”<br /><br />The pair describe their style as ‘boujee’.<br /><br />Gabriella said: “That means fabulous.<br /><br />“We love wearing pink, bright colours and anything sparkly.”<br /><br />Catherine said: “We like glamorous dresses.”<br /><br />The pair will match every day they can – besides days Gabriella has to wear black for her job at a salon – and even have matching robes.<br /><br />Catherine said: “We’ve always been very close.<br /><br />“We have always matched.<br /><br />“It’s just a lot of fun.<br /><br />“We both love fashion.<br /><br />“I go to the store see something I like and always buy one for my daughter too.”<br /><br />The pair recently walked in a show in New York Fashion Week together and spent the week donning formal dresses.<br /><br />Gabriella said: “I said I wanted to audition for fashion week and mum said ‘let me do it too’.<br /><br />“We wore beautiful, purple dresses with big, poofy sleeves.<br /><br />“We even matched the event – which was purple.<br /><br />“Walking out in matching sparkly dresses and stilettos people weren’t discreet taking photos.”<br /><br />The pair are constantly mistaken for sisters – due to their identical looks, even down to their dress size.<br /><br />Catherine said: “I love being mistaken for 30 years younger than I am.<br /><br />“I love it.”<br /><br />Gabriella is usually the one to pick out their outfits and always does her mum's hair and make-up – just like hers.<br /><br />Catherine said: “We use the same products.”<br /><br />Catherine loves being able to achieve her dreams with her daughter at her side.<br /><br />She said: “My time is just beginning – and I’m getting to do them with my daughter.<br /><br />“I don’t want to be defined by any number.<br /><br />“I want to inspire other people that it’s never too late to achieve your dreams and goals.”<br /><br />The duo hopes to design a clothing or jewellery line together in the future and match on the red carpet together.<br /><br />Gabriella hopes to follow in the footsteps of her mum, a former Miss Connecticut USA - and is being coached by her.<br /><br />Follow Gabriella on Instagram and TikTok @ gabriella__vigorito
