A fearless New York City rat hitched a ride to upstate New York on the hood of a BMW, traversing miles across varying landscapes as a man drove to a wedding.<br /><br />Video filmed by the man shows the moment he spotted the rodent crawling on the hood of his car while on his way to Roscoe, New York.<br /><br />The rat can be seen scampering up the hood, then burying itself between the car's window shield and disappeared.<br /><br />A follow-up video shows this stopped his BMW car, raised the hood and checked the engine, also trying to coax the rat away.<br /><br />The rat scurried around swiftly and vanished again seconds later.<br /><br />The fate of the rat, and whether it successfully embarked on its new life in upstate New York, remains unknown.
