THOMAS PARTEY was ruled out of Arsenal's Champions League match against Sevilla this evening.<br /><br />The Gunners confirmed that the midfielder was absent with a "muscular issue".<br /><br />He picked up the injury in training earlier this week, Mikel Arteta revealed before kick-off.<br /><br />The Arsenal boss told TNT Sports: "Thomas picked up an injury yesterday in training, unfortunately, it’s a muscle injury.<br /><br />"We don’t know the extent of it - a big miss for us."<br /><br />However, Arsenal fans are convinced that he got injured differently.<br /><br />Partey and his partner held a gender reveal party last week and found out that they are expecting a daughter.<br /><br />When revealing the gender, the Ghana international kicked a football which then exploded into pink smoke.<br /><br />And some fans have joked that he got injured while taking the kick.<br /><br />One person tweeted: "I told bro to stay fit he had only one job."<br /><br />Another added: "Got injured with this kick."<br /><br />While a third wrote: "Bro put a little too much into that kick ."<br /><br />Partey spent more than a month on the sidelines with a groin injury before returning to make a substitute appearance against Manchester City before the international break.<br /><br />However, he didn't feature at all against Chelsea on Saturday as Arsenal held the Blues to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
