A young woman was killed and several spectators were injured on the second day of Rally Sochi 2000, a round of Russian Rally Championship. Stanislav Gryazin lost control of his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI numeral 3 driving on roads that had been made wet by rain that fell during the previous night. The car skidded out of the road, fell into a ravine and landed on a group of spectators. Gryazin and his co-driver Dmitry Eremeev were unharmed in the accident.
