Officers and fire crews responded to reports of groups of youths fighting and throwing fireworks at each other on Bonfires Night in Barmulloch. <br /><br />Police Scotland has issued a statement concerning multiple incidents throughout the country, saying this type of behaviour is an “unacceptable and frankly disgusting level of disorder that left communities alarmed and police officers injured.”<br /><br />Next up, pubs and bars in Glasgow city centre will be able to stay open until 1am as the council has approved a year long trial in an attempt to boost the night time economy. <br /><br />Currently, these venues are required to close at midnight, however, the council said the pilot scheme would give an indication if there is a market for the extra hour. <br /><br />Transport providers within the city centre have not supported the extension though and will not be altering services to meet the new demand at this stage. <br /><br />And in other news, Britain’s loneliest sheep Fiona has lost her chance to live in an animal sanctuary near Glasgow after the Scottish SPCA advised she would find interactions distressing.<br /><br />Fiona spent two years alone at the foot of a cliff in the Highlands before a recent rescue operation by local farmers took place.
