Israel is claiming that Hamas has lost control of the north of the Gaza Strip after weeks of intensive Israeli bombardment.<br /><br />Now the BBC's international editor Jeremy Bowen has travelled with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) into Gaza.<br /><br />While the BBC had editorial control of the report, the section with the IDF has been viewed by them.<br /><br />The IDF showed the BBC what they said was a Hamas weapons factory, below a home in which children lived.<br /><br />The area which the BBC was shown was a wasteland, with every building badly damaged or destroyed.<br /><br />Clive Myrie presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Jeremy Bowen.
