West German rider Max Schöllhorn participated in the British Speedway League, competing in three meetings for Reading in 1981 and for Eastbourne in two meetings in 1983.<br /><br />Max Schöllhorn lost his life at the age of 24, during a grass track speedway race in Les Artigues-de-Lussac in Gironde department, France. It happened on Sunday, 13 May 1984, Schöllhorn hit the motorcycle of a rider who fell in front of him, was thrown from his bike landing onto the other side of the track. He unfortunately did not survive.<br /><br />R.I.P
