The Prime Minister says the police can talk to anyone they wish in the lawful course of their duties but he drew the line at them, in his words, blowing whistle as a referee in any peace deal being negotiated between rival criminal gangs.<br /><br />That was Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley's response to an article in the Express newspaper that two criminal gangs in Trinidad arrived at a peace deal with the help of police officers.<br /><br />The Prime Minister spoke on the matter during a media conference at the Diplomatic Centre on Monday.<br /><br />Political Editor Juhel Browne was there.
