Edinburgh's Christmas market and castle have been lit up with festive cheer after the annual celebration got underway.<br /><br />Drone images show the Princes Street market and fair in full swing after it opened on Friday (17).<br /><br />Photographer Craig Duncan, 38, who attends the famous market at least twice a year with his two children, took the images.<br /><br />He said: "The market brightens up the whole city with festive cheer - it's like another world.<br /><br />"Once it gets going there's an even better vibe to the city than usual. It's a great atmosphere, and it's so vibrant.<br /><br />"I was lucky to get the pictures - the weather up here usually makes it quite difficult."<br /><br />He took the photos around 7pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.<br /><br />The market is in place until January 6.
