Soldiers are to join police in establishing an increased Police and Army presence and patrols around construction sites.<br /><br />The announcement was made by the National Security Ministry on Friday as it said the National Security Minister held a recent meeting with representatives of the public and private construction sectors.<br /><br />The Ministry said they complained of heightened incidents of extortion and threats to life at construction sites.<br /><br />Political Editor Juhel Browne reports.
