Cristiano Ronaldo scored a stunning 40-yard lob as part of a quick-fire second-half double to help Al Nassr beat Al Akhdoud 3-0 in the Saudi Pro League.<br /><br />On Friday evening, Ronaldo’s Al Nassr was in Saudi Professional League action against Al Akhdoud.<br /><br />Heading into the match, Al Nassr was in second place, four points behind leader Al Hilal.<br /><br />Al Nassr took the lead in the 13th minute thanks to Sami Al Naji before Ronaldo made it 2-0 in the 77th minute.<br /><br />Just three minutes after his first goal, Ronaldo made it 3-0 in spectacular fashion after the ball dropped to his feet about 30 yards from goal.<br /><br />With the goalkeeper rushing to close him down, Ronaldo showed tremendous technique to control a lob that went into the back of the net. You can watch his goal.<br /><br />After scoring a brace on Friday evening, Ronaldo now has 18 goals and nine assists in 18 appearances across all competitions for Al Nassr.<br /><br />Al Nassr held on for a 3-0 win and closed the gap between themselves and Al Hilal to just one point.<br /><br />Earlier in the week, it was reported that Ronaldo’s Al Nassr could face Inter Miami in a friendly match in February 2024, which will see the Portuguese take on his long-term rival Lionel Messi again.<br /><br />However, to many football fans’ disappointment, Inter Miami has denied the report.<br /><br />A statement from the MLS club read: “Earlier today, an announcement was issued stating that Inter Miami CF is scheduled to play in the Riyadh Season Cup. This is inaccurate.<br /><br />“The release included statements attributed to team owner Jorge Mas. Mas has made no comments, publicly or privately, about the pre-season tour.”<br /><br />It continued: “Since day one, Inter Miami CF has set out to be a global brand.
