Hunter Biden Is Indicted , on 9 More Tax Charges.<br />Three new felony charges and six new <br />misdemeanor charges were filed against President Joe Biden's son in California on Dec. 7, AP reports. .<br />Hunter is also facing <br />federal firearms charges in Delaware.<br />According to special counsel David Weiss, <br />Hunter "spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills.".<br />The charges stem from $1.4 million Hunter owed for the tax years 2016 to 2019.<br />He has since paid those back taxes, AP reports.<br />Hunter faces up to 17 years in prison if convicted.<br />Abbe Lowell, Hunter's attorney, accused the special <br />counsel of "bowing to Republican pressure.".<br />Based on the facts and the law, <br />if Hunter’s last name was anything <br />other than Biden, the charges in <br />Delaware, and now California, <br />would not have been brought, Abbe Lowell, Hunter's attorney, via statement.<br />The current indictment comes as <br />GOP Congress members push for an impeachment inquiry into the president.<br />The House will vote next week on whether <br />it will formally authorize the inquiry
