Dan Hooker is sharpening his tools while recuperating from an arm injury, with the UFC star choking out a radio presenter this week.<br /><br />The Kiwi star is on the sidelines following surgery on his arm but is staying busy with occasional media appearances in his homeland.<br /><br />On Wednesday, the Hangman demonstrated just how lethal his submission game is during an appearance on The Morning Rumble.<br /><br />The UFC lightweight contender was asked to drill a triangle choke on producer Mitch Farr.<br /><br />The charismatic producer was twice put in submissions and tapped out, before boasting that he hadn't suffered at all during both episodes.<br /><br />Hooker decided to take things up a notch on his third effort, ignoring Farr's tapping hand to choke the producer unconscious. <br /><br />A disorientated Farr didn't seem too taken aback by the experience and was all smiles.<br /><br />'I'm good,' he said when asked by his colleagues.<br /><br />Hooker's bid to end 2023 on a high was cut short after an arm injury forced him out of a fight against fellow veteran Bobby Green on December 2.<br /><br />He has won his last two fights, including his memorable split-decision win over Jalin Turner at UFC 290.<br /><br />The 35-year-old is targeting a return to the Octagon in May next year.
