A heroic police officer crawled almost 100 feet (30m) across a frozen lake to rescue a woman who had fallen into the water. <br /><br />A video shows Officer Chen Geng lying on a stretcher and crawling across the thinly frozen Xianyan Lake in Shaanxi Province, China.<br /><br />The woman, who had been in the water for several minutes, was semi-conscious with temperatures reaching minus 10 degree Celsius. <br /><br />With the assistance of local official Yan Ming, Officer Chen Geng was able to pull the woman across the ice and back to shore. <br /><br />It is unclear how the woman fell but she was rescued in less than 15 minutes.<br /><br />The woman, who hasn't been named, was taken to a nearby hospital and has been reported to be in stable condition.<br /><br />The incident happened on December 22nd.
