Junior doctors are walking out for six days due to an ongoing pay dispute.<br /><br />From 7am on Wednesday January 3, until 7am on Tuesday January 9, junior doctors from BMA (British Medical Association) are taking industrial action in the longest strike to date.<br /><br />This six-day walkout coincides with the busiest period of the year for the NHS.<br /><br />BMA says the strikes plan to achieve full pay restoration to reverse the steep decline in pay faced by junior doctors since 2008/9.<br /><br />We spoke to people in Manchester about the strikes.
