Zandy Willems, age 55, of Allen, Texas, passed away on Saturday night, 03 September 2022, as a result of a fatal crash during the opening lap of the Ultra4 USA 4400 class race, the final event of the day at Crandon International Raceway in Crandon, Wisconsin.<br /><br />The race, which was red flagged after the fatal accident before being cancelled entirely, was part of the sixth and final round of the 2022 Amsoil Championship Off-Road.<br /><br />Zandy Willems raced for team Rufus Racing, which he had founded in 2018 when he bought his first race car and quickly became a well-known racer in the Ultra4 and off-road racing world.<br /><br />R.I.P
