Robitussin Products , Recalled Nationwide.<br />Haleon, the manufacturer of Robitussin, <br />is recalling the cough syrup because of a microbial contamination, 'The Hill' reports. .<br />The recall was announced on Jan. 24.<br />The products included in the recall are Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Adult. .<br />According to Haleon, "the use of the affected <br />product could potentially result in severe or life-threatening adverse events such as fungemia or disseminated <br />fungal infection" in immunocompromised people. .<br />In non-immunocompromised consumers, the population most likely to use the product, life-threatening infections are not likely to occur. , Haleon, Robitussin manufacturer, via statement.<br />However, the occurrence of an infection that may necessitate medical intervention cannot be completely ruled out, Haleon, Robitussin manufacturer, via statement.<br />Those in possession of these products are advised to halt consumption immediately.<br />Haleon has also <br />notified distributors, <br />'The Hill' reports. .<br />If you've ingested the product and are experiencing problems, Haleon advises contacting your health care provider.<br />The company also recommends reporting <br />"adverse reactions or quality problems" to the FDA
