A man has been arrested and charged over acts of vandalism in Glasgow’s City Centre, including the centopath on George Square. <br /><br />The monument was defaced with graffiti stating the ongoing conflict in Gaza was a “real holocaust”.<br /><br />Police have now confirmed a 46-year-old man has been charged in relation to the vandalism. <br /><br />Next up, a dog trained to help those living with dementia in Greater Glasgow is looking for a new home. <br /><br />It is believed the Labrador could help someone facing milder stages of the disease and is part of a project run by Alzheimer’s Scotland. <br /><br />And in other news, Actor Sharon Rooney who starred in Barbie will be among judges for the biggest prize at this year’s Glasgow International Comedy Festival. <br /><br />The Sir Billy Connolly Spirit Award is given to a performer who is said to embody the city. <br /><br />Rooney will join Tony Curran and Janey Godley is selecting a shortlist. <br />
