Enzo Fernandez had to be led away after being mocked by a Liverpool fan following Chelsea's defeat in the Carabao Cup final.<br /><br />As the 23-year-old made the long walk up the Wembley stairs a Liverpool fan called out, 'Enzo, unlucky lad,' before bursting out into laughter. Fernandez was incensed by the provocation and glared directly back at the supporter.<br /><br />The Argentinian has endured a torrid time at Stamford Bridge since arriving for a British-record £ 107 million fee during Graham Potter's time in charge of the club in January last year.<br /><br />Sunday's clash offered the former Benfica star his first opportunity for silverware with the Blues, but it wasn't to be.<br /><br />Both teams had goals ruled out by VAR at Wembley, and Fernandez scuppered a golden opportunity to give his team the lead when he attempted a backheel rather than playing in a teammate early in the second half.<br /><br />The game remained goalless deep into extra-time before Virgil van Dijk netted from a late corner to secure victory for the Reds.<br /><br />Frustrations among from Mauricio Pochettino's side were palpable following the final whistle, though none more so than from Fernandez as he went to collect his runners-up medal.<br /><br />As the 23-year-old made the long walk up the Wembley stairs a Liverpool fan called out, 'Enzo, unlucky lad,' before bursting out into laughter.<br /><br />Fernandez was incensed by the provocation and glared directly back at the supporter.<br /><br />The reaction only served to further erupt the fan into laughter, however, and he was then promptly ushered away by his teammate, Jimi Tauriainen.<br /><br />The fan later shared the footage on social media writing: 'Can someone get some food he must be real hungry, real bitey there only said better look next year wanted to punch me on 200k a week plus n has just fronted me'<br /><br />Fernandez wasn't the only one feeling the pressure after such an agonizing defeat, however.<br /><br />Some supporters on social media noticed that Pochettino appeared to snub Chelsea owner Todd Boehly after the defeat.<br />
