Elle Edwards' killer has had his sentence appeal rejected. Last year, Connor Chapman was jailed for life with a minimum term of 48 years for the murder of the 26-year-old. At a hearing in London on Thursday, senior judges rejected Chapman's appeal against the length of his prison sentence.<br /><br />Bootle Strand will soon look very different as parts of the shopping centre are set to be demolished this spring. Sefton Council purchased the site in 2017 for £32.5m, and the borough laid out plans for a landmark redevelopment. The Strand will remain open to the public while work takes place.<br /><br />Everton Stadium's barrel clad roof planning has turned a vision into reality in the latest milestone of the project with the first phase now complete on the east stand. The 52,888 stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock is due for completion in late 2024.<br />
