A 71-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a pensioner, aged in his 70s. <br /> <br />Police officers were called to an address on Rising Brook, in Stafford, at around 6pm on Sunday (3/3).<br /><br />The elderly victim was discovered severely injured inside and despite the efforts of medics he could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene. <br /><br />A 71-year-old man, from Rugeley, Staffs., was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody being quizzed by detectives.<br /><br />Staffordshire Police has now urged anyone with information to get in touch with the force. <br /><br />A police spokesperson said: "If you have any information which could help us, call 101, quoting incident 530 of 3 March, or message us using Live Chat on our website.<br /><br />"If you’d like to stay anonymous, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
