Sheffield United supporters were seen leaving Bramall Lane inside the opening 15 after Arsenal's blistering start to their Premier League clash.

The Gunners raced into a four-goal lead against the Blades within half an hour after goals from Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, and a Jayden Bogle own goal.

As they did so, large sections of home supporters were caught on camera making their way to the exits of the stadium.

The Gunners took the lead inside five minutes as Odegaard provided a sweeping finish to a well-worked move before Martinelli doubled their advantage shortly after.

Then, as Jayden Bogle inadvertently steered the ball into his own net, that's when some fans decided to call their evening short and head for the exit.

And it didn't take long for users on social media to weigh in on the Blades' performance - with some providing some rather brutal takes.

'Sheffield United are one of the worst teams the PL has seen for quite some time,' one fan wrote.

Another said: 'Sheffield United is most pointless premier league team in a while, at least Luton is putting up a bit of a fight vs the better teams'.

'Sheffield United would’ve been as well staying in the dressing room. They are absolutely woeful, and their left back should maybe just consider retirement.

'This could genuinely be double figures if Arsenal want it,' another user said.

In a long post, one fan said: 'I know Derby once registered 15 points in an entire Premier League campaign, but I refuse to believe there has ever been a worse top-flight outfit than this Sheffield United team.

'I genuinely feel sorry for them; they’re so far out of their depth it’s embarrassing.'

Another first half referred to the fans departing early, as they wrote: 'Fans leaving on 15 minutes has to be a new record hahaha'.

With five minutes remaining in the first-half, Declan Rice added a fifth for Arsenal as he struck a neat right-foot effort into the bottom corner.

Defender Ben White later scored a sixth for the Gunners in the 57th minute, with a sensational strike from just inside the box.

In doing so, Sheffield United became the first team in English Football League history to concede five goals in four consecutive home games across all competitions.

Meanwhile, the Gunners will move within two points of league leaders Liverpool with a victory at Bramall Lane.

They've now scored five or more goals in three of their last four Premier League outings.
