Dog loves the pool so much he swims for hours every day and refuses to get out.

Buster, a five year-old labrador discovered his passion for swimming last year after his owners installed a pool in their backyard.

Owner Jennifer says he spends between one and three hours in the pool of her home at a time, and will refuse to get out.

Jennifer Henry, a health educator, from Milton, Florida, USA, suddenly began hearing the pooch leap into the pool every day.

She explained: "It's only our second summer with the pool so we didn't realise [he loved it so much] until last year.

"He spends 1-3 hours in the pool every day, minimum, he gets in whenever he wants to, he'll just randomly jump in.

"We'll hear barking and splashing and we'll know he's in there, swimming around."

Jennifer wishes Buster would spend less time in the pool due to the noise, but she can't stop him.

He's so passionate that he's convinced his brother, 14 year-old Scooby, but Scooby isn't as obsessed as his brother.

Jennifer said: "I can yell at him [Buster] as much as I want, but he won't get out.

"Scooby does it too, but he's just started around seven months ago, he doesn't do it all the time, though, and he gets out when I yell."

Although she complains about her swimming dog, Jennifer is glad that he enjoys the pool.

She explained that the pooch was diagnosed with cancer at two, and given 6 months to live, so she lets him enjoy life.

Jennifer said: "Sometimes we get a little frustrated when we can't get him out, but we really just want him to live life."
