Hours before taking the floor against Stanford in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the Iowa State women’s basketball team picked up a recruiting win.<br /><br />Freya Jensen, a 5-foot-11 guard from Denmark, announced on social media Sunday her plans to play for the Cyclones. Jensen is a member of the class of 2025. She made an official visit to Iowa State in February.<br />She needed to make five flights just to get to Ames for her visit. During the trip, she raved about the Iowa State fan base she’d heard so much about.<br /><br />Jensen now gets to be a part of it. She will give the Cyclones a strong shooter, especially from beyond the arc. Jensen played in the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship in 2023, averaging 16.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
