A couple can't order takeaways, always miss deliveries and have even had tradesman do work on the WRONG house because their 'flat doesn't exist'.

Lynn and John Bellamy live at number 20 - but when you walk along Kimpton Road there is no flat between 19 and 21.

Instead the street numbers are 19 then 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25.

Instead their home at number 20 is 100m walk away, around the corner on Harvey Road, in Camberwell, south London.

It means postman are always confused and ambulances can't find the address for the flats which were built approximately in 1995.

Lynn, a nurse, says she has contacted her local post office and even their MP to try and sort the situation by getting the council to put a map at the end of the road to guide people where to go.

But since moving into the flat In June 2022 they are still no closer to answers.

Within weeks of moving into the flats, the couple noticed things were missing.

John has myeloma cancer and is going through chemotherapy, so any missed appointment letters could be life threatening, he says.

Lynn and Paul, retired tradesman , have to walk down their street onto the main road to wave down friends, family, Amazon deliveries, food deliveries, taxis and even ambulances.

Lynn, a grandma-of-three, said: "It's the daily frustration with it. We called an ambulance again and they said they couldn't find the address.

"We have a communal garden and have waited for the gardeners since last year and I received a call from them saying 'hope you like the garden we have done it' and in fact they just did someone else's garden."

Lynn and Paul moved into their home by swapping flats with another person and needed to have closer access to a hospital.

The hospital is now a 10 minute walk away so it is much more accessible for the couple.

Their block has approximately six tenants - and many are frustrated like Lynn and Paul.

Margret Henewe, 48, also lives in the flat and has also been having the same problems.

The chef said: "It has been very difficult."

She also had the same issue as Lynn with a gardener, who completed work on a garden at Kimpton Court instead of Kimpton Road, after failing to find her home.

Margret added: "We don't get letters and I don't know where our letters are going.

"Some do arrive, however you do have to get the others online. I don't get paper letters through my letter box. Most of my bills are online."

Like Lynn, Margret would like a sign to make people aware where building

"A sign to show that the building is Kimpton Road at the back of the building so everyone knows," she said.
