Shocking footage shows the moment when an HGV driver smashed into the back of a stationary car and left a woman seriously injured.<br /><br />Ian Halliday, 45, was behind the wheel of his Scania lorry when he ploughed into the rear of a learner driver vehicle and caused a three-car pileup.<br /><br />The chilling incident unfolded on Speke Boulevard, in Liverpool, during wet conditions shortly before 9.30am on December 4 last year.<br /><br />And the clip, taken from Halliday’s dashboard camera, revealed how he failed to slow down before colliding with a line of vehicles waiting in a traffic jam.<br /><br />He was arrested following the crash and charged with causing serious injury by careless driving.<br /><br />He indicated an initial guilty plea to the offence at magistrates' court on March 12.
