A savvy Brit flew to Romania for a spa weekend - which she says was £85 cheaper than in the UK.<br /><br />Kara Wildbur, 23, and her mum, Bethan, 50, flew from Manchester Airport to Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport, Romania, arrving at 11:25am.<br /><br />The pair then heading straight to the Therma spa - which set them back £64 altogether - and then went to the hotel which cost them £94 in total.<br /><br />For flights, accommodation and the spa, the weekend trip cost the pair £315 - cheaper than the £400 spa day in the UK.<br /><br />Kara, a travel content creator, from Denbighshire, Wales, said: "I was trying to look for a last minute spa weekend in the UK.<br /><br />"I found a spa near me, for a night stay, with treatment and afternoon tea it would have cost us £200 each.<br /><br />"It shocked me, I didn't realise how expensive it was going to be.<br /><br />"I started looking for spas abroad and found this one in Bucharest for £64 for the two of us and got it booked."<br /><br />Kara and her mum flew from Manchester Airport to Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport, Romania with Ryanair - the return tickets set them back £157<br /><br />Once they arrived in Bucharest they headed straight to the spa and arrived within 30 minutes of landing.<br /><br />While Kara and her mum were in the spa they visited the rainforest room for a full body scrub, went to the saunas and relaxed in the pools.<br /><br />Kara said: "Mum absolutely loved it, it was one of the first holidays abroad for a few years.<br /><br />"We pre booked out tickets before we arrived, they were two full day and all access packages.<br /><br />"This included access to nine pools, six saunas, four wet saunas and 16 water slides."<br /><br />After spending the day in the spa, Kara and Bethan went to the hotel and spent the following day travelling around Bucharest.<br /><br />She said: "It was such a lovely day, we decided we wanted to explore and see what was out there.<br /><br />"We did a walking tour of Bucharest, a tour of the market and had lots of nice foods."<br /><br />The pair headed back to Manchester on Monday, March 10.<br /><br />Kara is sharing her travel journeys on Instagram @okay.kara.travels.<br /><br />Breakdown of cost:<br />Flights to and from Romania - £157 <br />Arrival to the hotel - £94<br />Spa tickets - £64<br />Total cost - £315
