A lorry overturned on a busy road in London - whilst travelling as slow as five miles an hour. <br /><br />Video footage taken by Mads Voxen shows teams working to get the overturned vehicle back upright and onto its wheels. <br /><br />The bus driver came across the scene, which had traffic backed up in three directions in Leyton, east London, for half an hour, earlier this week.<br /><br />Mr Voxen, 32, claims he was told by the lorry's driver that the vehicle had tilted whilst he was making a turn due to how it was loaded, with light material at one end and heavy concrete at the other. <br /><br />Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident. <br /><br />Mr Voxen said: "I came to the scene on Leyton High Road just after it had happened.<br /><br />"The driver said it had been confirmed by his control room that he was only doing five miles an hour, which shouldn't be a problem. <br /><br />"But it overturned because of the load in the lorry. <br /><br />"The lower half was full of lighter stuff and the higher part with heavy concrete, which caused it to topple."<br /><br />The Westminster Waste truck was travelling with a trailer in tow, which did not overturn. <br /><br />A recovery truck from Dynes Motor Group eventually had the lorry back on its wheels after around half an hour. <br /><br />"Normally you would think the lorry was speeding," Mr Voxen added. <br /><br />"It was only doing five miles an hour. It was half an hour before they managed to lift it back up. <br /><br />"Police were there and there was traffic backed up in three directions. <br /><br />"Dynes attached something to the lorry and hauled it up. They struggled at first."<br /><br />Dominic Moule, the managing director of Westminster Waste, confirmed that the lorry was being driven 'very, very slowly' and had tipped over due to how it was loaded. <br /><br />He added: "The driver and passenger are fine, thankfully. The vehicle is repairable and is starting its refurbishment work."
