McKenzie Ridley, a learner driver who "panicked" and sparked a 90mph police chase around South Tyneside because he was worried his mum would find out he had been pulled over on February 27.<br /><br />Newcastle Crown Court heard how during the journey the college student repeatedly used his indicators as he led the cops on a high speed chase, but failed to give way, travelled on the wrong side of the road, went the wrong way around a roundabout, through red lights and successfully swerved to avoid a police stinger deployed to stop him.<br /><br />Credit: North News and Pictures
