For educational purposes<br /><br />In 1944, in southern England, Allied troops were getting ready to land in Normandy. <br /><br />US soldier Jack Lieb was there with his amateur camera. On D-Day, John Ford shot in color with his camera crews. <br /><br />His Hollywood colleague George Stevens also landed in northern France with his team on 6 June 1944. <br /><br />Those men documented the advance and finally the liberation of Paris up close.
