Tobago beaches have reopened, one week after they were ordered closed by the T.H.A., in the wake of a shark attack on British visitor Peter Smith. The announcement came on Friday morning from the Office of the Chief Secretary.<br /><br />Fisherfolk had expressed concern about the length of the closure, with reef tour operators calling for incentives to tide them over.<br /><br />Elizabeth Williams has been following this new development, and has this report.<br />
