Russia's Putin arrives in China for state visit<br /><br />Russia’s President Vladimir Putin lands Thursday, May 16, 2024, in Beijing for a two-day state visit to China, in a show of unity between the authoritarian allies as Moscow presses forward with a new offensive in Ukraine. Putin’s visit comes as Russia has become more economically dependent on China following Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine more than two years ago.
