THE Czech Cup final descended into madness as fans stormed the pitch on the final whistle.<br /><br />The clash between Viktoria Plzen and Sparta Prague was clouded by the chaos that ensued at the end of the game.<br /><br />The game, which was played at Plzen's home ground, saw both sets of fans spill onto the pitch at full-time.<br /><br />What followed was a sad sight for modern football as supporters from both clubs began fighting in the middle of the pitch and players were hurried down the tunnel.<br /><br />The horrific scenes saw aggressive fans punching one other while others jumped on top to join in.<br /><br />Things took another horrible turn when three pitch-side reporters were attacked live on TV.<br /><br />The three broadcasters were getting on with their show with the ugly scenes continuing behind them when a chair landed at the feet of one of the presenters.<br /><br />All three seemed initially unfazed by the flying furniture but quickly saw their moods switch when a second stool slammed into the face of one of them.<br /><br />Further back on the pitch, there was heavy police intervention as armed officers could be seen lining the playing surface to try and keep the peace.<br /><br />But pockets of fans continued to fight one other.<br /><br />The match itself was just as chaotic with the cup swapping hands in the dying embers of the clash.<br /><br />Sparta had taken the lead in the 79th minute thanks to an own goal but saw their one-goal advantage snatched away when Plzen leveled the scores in the 87th minute.<br /><br />That twist looked like it was going to force extra time before Sparta hit back with a 91st-minute winner, sealing a league and cup double for The Maroons.<br /><br />Fans, police, and perhaps presenters will be on high alert this weekend as the two sides face each other again on Sunday.<br /><br />The pair come head to head in the final league game of the season - hopefully not prompting more shocking scenes.
