A mum has refused to stop wearing crop tops at aged 50 despite being told by trolls it's "not appropriate".<br /><br />Fritzie Cencil, 50, loves donning "daring" skirts, shorts and crop tops.<br /><br />The mum-of-one has always loved fashion and as a petite woman she likes to wear crop tops and high wasted trousers to give the illusion she has longer legs.<br /><br />Fritzie says trolls tell her it's "inappropriate" for her age but she wears the clothes for herself and says "age doesn't define me".<br /><br />And she says people also tell her "you're body is like a 20-year-old".<br /><br />Fritzie, a clinical lead practice education for the NHS, from Islington, London said: "People say you can't wear that. It's not appropriate.<br /><br />"I'll wear whatever I want as long as I look good in it.<br /><br />"I wear clothes for myself.<br /><br />"I'm 50 - I can wear things I want to wear<br /><br />"It feels liberating.<br /><br />"Age is just a number. It doesn't define me."<br /><br />Fritzie grew up in a village in the Philippines where she was more restricted with what she could wear.<br /><br />Since moving to London in 2002 she has been able to try out new looks.<br /><br />She said: "I spread my wings.<br /><br />"I can wear what a 20-year-old can wear.<br /><br />"I know it suits me.<br /><br />"Back home I couldn't wear the daring clothes that I'm wearing now.<br /><br />"As the years go by confidence grows.<br /><br />"That's why I'm quite bold now in my fashion."<br /><br />Fritzie, who lives with her husband, Abel Cencil, 51, who works in finances, defines her style as "classy but daring".<br /><br />She said: "I'm comfortable with wearing a crop top and jeans.<br /><br />"I'm petite and not that tall. I give the illusion that I have longer legs."<br /><br />Despite online comments telling her her outfits are not appropriate, in person Fritzie is often met with compliments.<br /><br />She said: "Strangers come up and say 'you're outfit is just divine'.<br /><br />"They say 'you're body is like a 20-year-old'."<br /><br />Fritzie looks after herself by doing three home workouts a week and eating a healthy diet.<br /><br />She wants to inspire other women to be confident to wear what they want to.<br /><br />Fritzie said: "If you look good, you feel good.<br /><br />"It doesn't matter what size we are - as long as you know how to carry yourself.<br /><br />"No one can tell you what to do.<br /><br />"People should wear what they want as long as they are confident.<br /><br />"Just because we have greying hair we're not going to be put in the box<br /><br />"I'm enjoying the journey of ageing.<br /><br />"Show your style, not your age."
