Ex-Employees Sue Elon Musk and SpaceX , Over Illegal Firings.<br />The lawsuit was filed on June 12, CNN reports.<br />Eight former employees allege that they were illegally terminated for speaking out about gender discrimination and harassment at SpaceX.<br />The lawsuit claims that Musks desires to be <br />"the leader to a brave new world of space <br />travel, but runs his company in the dark ages —".<br />... "treating women as sexual objects to be evaluated on their bra size, bombarding <br />the workplace with lewd sexual banter," .<br />... "and offering the reprise to those <br />who challenge the ‘Animal House’ environment that if they don’t like it they <br />can seek employment elsewhere.".<br />In 2022, the eight former employees wrote an open letter, which was signed by 400 other employees.<br />calling out Musk and urging company executives to make SpaceX more inclusive.<br />The eight employees were fired shortly <br />after the letter was released.<br />The suit alleges that "Musk personally <br />ordered the Plaintiffs' terminations.".<br />Tom Moline, a plaintiff in the <br />lawsuit, once told CNN...<br />... that SpaceX utilized an , "‘ends justifies the means’ philosophy to turn a blind <br />eye to the ongoing mistreatment, harassment, and abuse <br />reported by my colleagues, much of which was directly encouraged and inspired by the words and actions of the CEO.”.<br />The lawsuit seeks monetary damages for <br />"lost wages, earnings, and other employee benefits, emotional distress."
