Sunbathers in Saundersfoot, Tenby and on nearby beaches had a very up close and personal visit by a Chinook CH47 military helicopter on the hottest day of the year - as it headed over the harbour and shores of the seaside village!<br />On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 26, with plenty of people taking to the beaches and sea to soak up the sun - Saundersfoot Harbour commision shared a video on Facebook of the helicopter flying by the Marine Centre at the harbour at around 1.30pm, stating: “Sound is essential - it sounds awesome.”<br />Nearby beach-goers and those along the coast were also quick to share their own videos of the helicopter heading over the sands they were on, including Louise Jones at Coppet Hall; Julie Niblett at Wisemans Bridge; and Adrian Johns.<br />The Chinook also travelled above Tenby’s South, Castle and Northe beaches, with Charlie-Ann Love on St Catherine’s Island capturing the fly-over.<br />One person commenting, laughed: “I bet that woke a few people up!”<br />
