The Housing Minister told the Senate today that a total of $241.7 million is owed by some tenants of the Housing Development Corporation.<br /><br />The Minister said the HDC will be taking steps to recover the sum owed.<br /><br />She told the Senate tenants are given every opportunity to settle their arrears, and she said in one instance, an HDC tenant owed 128 thousand dollars in rent<br />for a period of approximately seven years.<br /><br />Juhel Browne reports.
