New footage has shown how Trent Alexander-Arnold's winning penalty against Switzerland sparked bedlam among the England fans as they celebrated the Three Lions booking their place in the Euro 2024 semi-finals.<br /><br />Alexander-Arnold stepped up to take England's fifth penalty with the chance to put his side through to the last four and he took it by emphatically smashing his spot-kick into the corner of the net.<br /><br />The winning moment was filmed in the stands, and the fans did not disappoint as they produced a deafening noise while hugging each other and cheering England's heroes.<br /><br />The clip also shows England's player streaming onto the pitch to celebrate with Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Pickford, who earlier saved Manuel Akanji's penalty.<br /><br />That proved to be one of the biggest moments in the shootout as all five of England's penalty-takers converted their spot-kicks to secure a 5-3 triumph.<br /><br />The outpouring of emotion from the fans may have been more relief than pure joy after watching their side huff and puff for 120 minutes with little reward.<br /><br />England fell behind in the 75th minute when Breel Embolo poked Switzerland in front from close range, but Bukayo Saka leveled the score five minutes later.<br /><br />Both sides had chances in extra time, with Switzerland's Granit Xhaka going closest when he hit the post directly from a corner.<br /><br />But penalties were needed to separate the two teams, and England came out on top this time.<br /><br />Despite delivering a series of underwhelming performances at the Euros, England has been well-backed by their fans throughout the tournament, and that remained the case on Saturday night.<br /><br />England's travelling contingent is now set to flock to Dortmund for Wednesday's semi-final where the Netherlands await them.<br /><br />Ronald Koeman's side came from behind to beat Turkey 2-1 on Saturday night, and have found form in the knockout stages after finishing third in their group.<br /><br />Their fans have also taken center stage this summer, turning stadiums into a sea of orange for all of their matches.<br /><br />Yet England's supporters proved they can also bring the noise as Alexander-Arnold's penalty hit the back of the net, meaning both teams can expect an incredible atmosphere on Wednesday, with a place in the final on the line. <br />
