Leeds councillor Karen Bruce said that a Pop Tart was to blame for a dramatic toaster fire that nearly torched her kitchen.<br /><br />Coun Bruce, who represents Ardsley and Robin Hood, said she had been preparing the sugary breakfast treat for her daughter when she briefly left the room.<br /><br />To her shock, she said that she returned to find the appliance ablaze on her kitchen countertop.<br /><br />She has since shared advice from the West Yorkshire Fire Authority to prevent similar incidents.
