Typhoon Carina intensified early Wednesday morning as it continued moving towards Taiwan, according to the latest PAGASA bulletin.<br /><br />As of 4 a.m., typhoon Carina was located 290 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 190 kph.
