Strong currents of muddy water surged through India's southern state of Kerala on Tuesday, July 30, causing devastating landslides that have claimed at least 106 lives.<br /><br />Hillsides collapsed after midnight, sending torrents of mud and water into homes of workers and villagers. <br /><br />This disaster is the worst in Kerala since 2018, when severe floods killed nearly 400 people.
