Thousands of people gathered on the streets of Tehran to mourn Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh during a symbolic funeral procession.<br /><br />Haniyeh was assassinated in the Iranian capital on July 31.<br /><br />The attack drew threats of revenge on Israel and fuelled further concern that the conflict in Gaza could turn into a wider Middle East war.<br /><br />Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei led the funeral prayers.
